Meta is launching a digital clothing store where you can purchase outfits for your avatar

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg revealed today that the business is opening a "Meta Avatars Store,"

a digital designer clothes store. During an Instagram Live with Eva Chen,

Instagram's vice president of fashion partnerships, Zuckerberg made the announcement.

Although it's unclear how many people will pay money to dress their avatars in luxury clothes,

Zuckerberg sees the new fashion clothing options as a method for users to express themselves through their avatars.

Users will be able to buy digital apparel for their avatars through the new virtual store, which will be available on Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger.

The store will open next week and will feature digital clothes by Balenciaga, Prada, and Thom Browne at first. For these digital clothes,

Lopez's initial breakthrough came as a dancer on the sketch comedy series "In Living Color" in the 1990s.

Meta hasn't released any pricing information. It's worth mentioning that the free Meta avatar clothing options will continue to be available.

Meta plans to become an open marketplace where developers may build and sell apparel, according to Zuckerberg.
