How to Transfer Your WhatsApp Chat History from Android to iPhone

WhatsApp has a user base of over 2 billion people who transmit hundreds of billions of messages every day.

That's a lot of talks, and if you're a WhatsApp user transferring from an Android to an iPhone, you don't want to lose all of them in one fell swoop.

There hasn't been an official or even simple way to migrate existing WhatsApp conversations from Android to iOS for quite some time.

That may not seem like a big deal because you can always start fresh chats, but if those messages contain images or videos of key moments, you should absolutely transfer them over.

Before you begin... On both devices, you must meet a few software requirements. You must be running in order for this to work:

iOS 15.5 or later Android 5 (Lollipop) or later Your Android and iOS devices should be connected.

Take out your Android and iPhone and do the following: Make sure both devices are charged (or plugged in) and connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Do the following with your Android and iPhone side by side:

1. Begin the process of setting up a new phone on your new iPhone. This will not function unless you connect to the same Wi-Fi network as the Android.

2. Open the Move to iOS app on your Android device, tap Continue, and accept the terms and conditions. You'll also need to give the app permission to access your Android's location, calendar, text messages, and other information.

Connect to the Wi-Fi network formed by entering the six-digit code from your iPhone into your Android.
