PlayStation Stars Fan Spots Wholesome Message in God of War Ragnarok Trophy Case

As Playstation’s new loyalty program is introduced, one linguistically talented fan translates the text adorning a Ragnarok themed display case.

Playstation Stars has seen the text written on a God of War Ragnarok themed reward translated to reveal a heartwarming message. The recently launched loyalty program for the PlayStation 4 and 5 sees users complete challenges and earn digital collectibles, one of which being a display case adopting God of War Ragnarok‘s frozen aesthetic.

The Playstation Stars scheme launched in Asia on September 29 and has since released across the world, free to join. There are a total of 4 levels for users to progress through, and completing a variety of challenges and campaigns will earn users digital collectibles which are exclusive to the program, confirmed by PlayStation to not be NFTs. With no trading or selling, these unique artifacts are for users to obtain individually and exhibit on similarly exclusive display cases. One such mantle is inspired by God of War Ragnarok‘s icy environment and comes with Futhark, a runic alphabet, chiseled into the background.

In a Reddit post by u/Additional-Offer-445, the God of War Ragnarok inspired display case is pictured with an approximate translation included under every line. It reads “thank you for making it possible for us to dream, create and to be kids again,” a touching message that no doubt comes from Santa Monica Studio, the developers of the god of war franchise. The Reddit user was praised for their accurate translation of Futhark and everyone agreed that this inclusion was nothing short of awesome, representative of why the studio has garnered such respect from the gaming community.

PlayStation Stars landed rather smoothly, due in part to the staggered regional release which would have made signing up significantly less frustrating than recent gaming experiences, such as the difficulties suffered during the launch of Overwatch 2. However, criticism was leveraged for a particular perk that comes with reaching level 4 which states that “chat priority routing” will be available, suggesting that by being a paying PlayStation user with this program would result in superior customer support. Sony responded by confirming that this would only be in select countries and that “all support benefits are subject to availability.”

Something with universal and allegedly excellent accessibility is God of War Ragnarok.

God of War Ragnarok launches on November 9, 2022 on PS4 and PS5.
